Location: 15 miles west of Athens in the area between US 175 and Texas 274
55 miles southeast of Dallas off U.S. Highway 175 in Kaufman and Henderson counties.

Maximum depth: 53 feet

Description: This lake is heavily developed by homes and other private interests who have come to enjoy the peaceful setting. Maximum depth is 53 feet, and the water is fairly turbid. Most of the aquatic vegetation that flourished in the 70's and 80's is now gone.

    Privately operated (903) 432-2268 and located on the west shore at mid-lake. From Kemp, take Texas 274 south. Six miles past Seven Points, turn east at Don's Port billboard and follow signs to marina.
    Boat ramp, $5 fee, has parking for vehicles
